Designed to be addictive, cigarettes and related smoking goods are often difficult to disregard from your daily routine once the addiction is indelible. But, the physical, social and financial basis to quit are numerous that few smokers haven’t tried to quit at one point or another. It is easy to quit quickly with these tried and tested steps.

1. Design a scheme to quit smoking and choose a quit date. If you are taking in medicines to help you, many doctors advise that you medicate for a couple of weeks before giving up.

2. Inform everyone that you are going to stop and on what day. This will give them a signal to remind you, and this will help you adhere to what you started.

3. Organize a support group if you can. Try to convince your spouse or partner or a friend to quit with you. Stick with a support group online or look for people who smokes in your area.

4. Dispatch all smoking supplies on your quit day. Put away any spare ciggies, ashtrays and lighters.

5. Get yourself engaged in important things during the first few days . Dine in cafes where smoking is forbidden, learn a sport, work on hobbies. Take note that your desires will be recurrent, but these are just for a short period of time.

6. Rejoice important highlights. Promise yourself something new if you can go two days, a week, a month without smoking. Use wisely the money you would have otherwise spent on cigarettes.

Focus your attention on stopping to smoke, not keeping up your weight. watch your weight before or after you have quit, but not for the first three months. Allow yourself a few extra pounds.
