Moreover, a significant amount of nicotine would be swallowed with saliva and when too much nicotine is swallowed, it will cause gastrointestinal aches and even nausea. Usually, same as any other gum, eating and drinking is not a good idea while chewing the stop smoking  gums. Furthermore, the gum should not be swallowed for the previous reason. The consumption of acidic drinkables such as coffee, soft drinks and fruit juices should not be done at least fifteen minutes prior to the usage the gum to ensure its maximal efficiency.
